Russian cuisine


Russian cuisine is the face of a country that could explain you a lot about its history. Through mostly part of population of country used to live in country side and the level of living was not high, the cuisine is rich with all kind of meals out of grain. The perfect table couldn't be imagined without pies and other pasties. Pies were cooked with a cook cereals, all sorts of pancakes and baked puddings, and of course bread. Russian bread easily could be the meal it self, tasty and meaty, as they used to characterise it, it must be on the table or the guest would not be satisfied. Cattle-breeding was always popular in Russia as was hunting - hence a large choice of meat dishes included those of wild animals and fowl. Russian cuisine is very healthy and various, so travel to Russia would always be a pleasure for your stomach.
Large areas covered by woods and forests, were abundant in berries and mushrooms. This accounted for a wealth of "gifts of the forests" on the Russian table. Russian cuisine was renowned for diverse delicacies, especially refreshments, made of fish. Russian rivers, lakes and seas yielded much of this tasty and useful kind of food. Through the centuries, Russian cuisine have take a lot of innovations from Asia, with its spices, and the food dresses from the French cuisine. Russian cuisine would tell you about all traditions of the country. Travel to Russia and figure it out yourself.
