Blagoveshensk

There is a city in Russia, located in the river Amur, right at the border line with China. It was founded in 1861, and was named Blagoveschensk, which in translation means "good news". The named come from the negotiation session that take place in a small vilage Ust-Zeysk between China and Russia governments, which states that territory of the Far East now belongs to Russia. The Russian Czar, satisfied with the result of negotiations stated to build a town in this place, with proud name Blagoveschensk.

Now the city have a population of around 260000 people, and called the "green city", because have a lot of parks and trees all over it. City is growing rapidly thanks to neighborhood of China. Many Chinese people when they think about travel to Russia mean travel to Blagoveshensk. Blagoveschensk also take the second place in the world, after Las-Vegas for the number of casinos per person. It is mostly because of the Chinese tourists, because casinos are not aloud by the law in China, so they come for satisfaction of they ardour in Russia.

At the other side of the river, only 300 miters from the city embankment located big Chinese city, called Hay-Hey. It is so close that you could see the people walking at the other side, see the streets and loud traffic, see the different culture just citing in a cafe with a cup of tea. This is hard to imagine, but for inhabitants in natural. When you travel to Russia you should take a chance to visit this city, because there is no other city in the world like that. Two cities of different countries, they are integrating with each other, and now it become an interesting hybrid of two different cultures.
